Hey there ????
I’ve got something exciting to share – I’m launching ProRequests, a new kind of client portal for digital agencies. But before I tell you what it is, let me tell you why it exists.
Since 2018, I’ve been in the trenches building and scaling productized agencies. Started with Shopify expertise, moved into design services with Reel Unlimited, and let me tell you – I’ve tried every task management tool out there. Some good, some great, some… well, let’s just say they exist.
Here’s the thing: after working with nearly a thousand B2B customers over 7 years, I noticed something frustrating. Most of these tools weren’t built by people who actually run high-growth agencies. It shows in the little things that make a big difference.
Quick story: In 2022, I actually tried building an alternative. Spent $10K on a developer, used a boilerplate… and failed. Yeah, not my proudest moment. But it taught me something important – you can’t build the right tool until you’ve learned enough lessons the hard way.
Fast forward to last year. We built Cloudbrand to solve our file-sharing headaches (goodbye endless Dropbox links!). That success gave us the confidence to tackle the bigger challenge: creating the task management tool we always wished we had.
Here’s what bugs me: Why are agency tools so expensive? We’re talking $100 to $2000 monthly. Shopify runs entire businesses for $29, but we’re paying up to $2K for task management? In 2025? Something’s not right there.
So, we’re doing something different with ProRequests:
- It’s built by actual agency owners (we run a 7-figure design agency)
- Focused on what matters: client experience and operational efficiency
- Here’s the kicker – it’s free until you make $5000 in revenue
Why free until $5000? Because we know the first 6-12 months of running an agency are tough. We borrowed this idea from ChartMogul – don’t charge until your customers are actually making money. Makes sense, right?
We’re launching the beta in the first week of February. It’s minimal but powerful – everything you need, nothing you don’t. An alternative to SPP and ManyRequests that won’t break the bank.
If you’re running an agency or thinking about starting one, I’d love to hear your thoughts. What features matter most to you? What pricing headaches have you faced?
